What are State Techs?

State Techs, or State Technicians, are employees who work for state governments, often within the National Guard or other state agencies. They provide technical, administrative, and support services in areas like maintenance, logistics, and information technology. State Techs typically hold dual status as both civilian employees and military members, allowing them to support military operations while maintaining state employment benefits. Their roles are crucial for ensuring that state and military operations run smoothly.

To thrive as a State Tech (State Technician), you generally need a background in electronics, mechanics, or related technical fields, often supported by relevant certifications or an associate degree. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, maintenance software, and industry-specific tools is typically required. State Tech professionals often work closely with various government departments to understand their technical needs and implement secure, efficient solutions.
