nVent is looking for entry level and skilledAssembly Operators on 1st shiftto join our team. In this role you will perform a variety of duties involved in assembly, packaging, and paint preparation.

WHATYOU WILLEXPERIENCEIN THIS POSITION:

  • Work individuallyor aspart ofa teamto assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product orcomponentof a product according to Work Instructions.

  • Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.

  • Selectsandmovesproduction materials asrequired.

  • Maintainsequipmentand materials necessary to complete the operation.

  • Meets established safety, quality, and performancestandards to ensure production schedules are met.

  • Recordsaccurateinformation on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary tomaintainaccuraterecords and inventory balances.

  • Complies withall applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to departmentleaderin accordancetoescalationprocedure.

  • Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • In accordance withescalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriateresourcewhen problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.

  • Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

YOU HAVE:

  • High School Diploma or GED,preferred

  • Knowledge in use of scales, preferred

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred

  • Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred

  • Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred

  • Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred

  • Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
