Job description

  • Working with senior members of Starwood Capital Group, including Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and the CEO of Starwood Digital Ventures, on new investment opportunities/acquisitions;
  • Develops and maintains financial models and/or underwriting for use in evaluating potentialinvestments;
  • Conductresearchandduediligenceofprospectiveopportunitiesincludingrespectivefinancialand organizational structures, review of legal documentation, analyze past and future performance,etc.
  • Evaluation of unit or portfolio acquisitionopportunities;
  • Carryassigneddutiestomanagethemanyfacetsofbringingadealtofunding,includingpresentationtofinal investmentcommittee;
  • Possess strong communication skills in which to create concise writtenpresentations;
  • Assist with asset management including business plan development and exit strategy planning andexecution;
  • Managing the preparation of property business plans, operating budgets, capital strategy (e.g., sales/dispositions, follow-on acquisitions, refinancings, etc.), and leasing strategy;
  • Conducting market assessments and making recommendations based on results;
  • Working on special projects including hold-sell analyses, refinancing opportunities, and Data Center sector initiatives;
  • Interacting with joint venture partners and third-party service providers and helping to manage those relationships;
  • Managing business plan performance and making recommendations to correct any variances;
  • Managing the lease approval process;
  • Attending development meetings and reviewing development draws for Data Center repositioning / renovation projects;
  • Reviewing design drawings, development plans, budgets and schedules to help identify profit-maximizing opportunities;
  • Traveling domestically to visit real estate assets and existing partners;
  • Performing property and portfolio valuations and return analyses for quarterly investor reports.
