POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Supply Chain on our team is responsible for the execution of an inventory management and purchasing strategy for assigned facilities, with the ultimate goal of reducing supply and inventory costs while improving services for our surgery center partners.

Work Schedule: This is a Remote First role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initial set-up and operational enrollment of centers with our GPO partner
  • Initial set-up and operational enrollment of centers in all applicable corporate purchasing programs/contracts
  • Obtain and maintain current records of pharmacy licenses & DEAs to satisfy vendor contract requirements
  • Implement system for monitoring compliance of each GPO and corporate contract
  • Troubleshoot problems between centers and vendors and present possible solutions to Senior Director, Supply Chain and Operations Lead
  • Produce monthly vendor utilization reports for each corporate contract by center
  • Perform various cost and/or usage analyses (as directed by Senior Director, Supply Chain) using MOR data and vendor utilization data, i.e., determine spend on a product, “Brand A”, vs. Same product, “Brand B”, determine savings potential and present findings and recommendations to Senior Director, Supply Chain
  • Communicate with assigned centers at a minimum on a monthly basis to inquire and assist with any materials management and/or purchasing needs
  • Participate in Materials Management educational training sessions for center directors
  • Maintain current vendor directory and databases
  • Maintain current GPO contract portfolio and notify operations teams when contracts are modified
  • Monitor corporate purchasing contracts for product additions/deletions and notify operations teams of changes that would require additional follow-up at center level
  • Review proposed contracts/agreements for accuracy and compliance to GPO or corporate agreement Terms and Conditions
  • Assist with corporate contract renewals when needed
  • Assist centers in sourcing and purchasing capital equipment
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
  • Up to 10% travel as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited College or University.
  • Minimum of four (4) years progressive experience in a supply chain or materials management position in a healthcare setting.
  • Advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs, preferably in Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) preferred.

75% Tactical/25% Strategic Impact:

Ability to execute solutions across affected sites that address short- to medium-term needs of a center's functional areas and related areas through close collaboration with center and VP or Director Supply Chain leadership and other core business departments in an effort to provide both with tactical solutions that support and promote alignment with department and corporate strategic objectives.

Experience leading conversion of physician preference items to drive contract compliance. Strong customer orientation. Strong relationship management skills. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner and work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills with equally strong attention to detail and organizational skills. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
