What is a starting CNA?

A starting CNA, or Certified Nursing Assistant, is an entry-level healthcare professional who provides basic care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical facilities. They play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and supporting medical staff. Most starting CNAs have completed a state-approved training program and passed a certification exam. This position is a common first step for those interested in a career in nursing or healthcare.
