Job description

Description
This position is responsible for modeling our customer service commitment, delivering high-quality products, maintaining a safe and clean store, and confidently running shifts that create the Starbucks experience for our baristas and customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintains outlet inventory/supplies as well as outlet cleanliness
  • Performs point of sale (POS) functions, including comps and voids
  • Makes coffee and specialty drink items and fills food orders
  • Assigns Baristas to daily stations
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicates inventory needs and maintenance problems to management
  • Sets up stations and performs side work and opening/closing duties as directed by the supervisor
  • Receives, fills, and delivers stock orders/requisitions
  • Assists with the certification of new baristas
  • Complies with and maintains safety and sanitation standards
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Starbucks with point of sale (POS) cash tendering knowledge
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the point of sale system and cash handling accuracy
  • Complete knowledge of outlet offerings and preparations
  • Increased speed in processing guest orders
Training Requirements:
  • Outlet-specific standard operating procedures
  • Point of sale (POS) system
  • Completes all Starbucks required training
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend and stand for the entire shift
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
