Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking Systems Integration & Test engineers in Rochester NY to work on a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have SI&T Engineering responsibilities consisting of the development, integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members of in engineering, manufacturing, & program management to design, develop & build high performance systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop system integration concepts & test plan approach
  • Ensure system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures
  • Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses
  • Design, develop, and release custom test equipment (HW and SW)
  • Coordinate with Operations for production STE/ATE requirements, automation, and user interface
  • Develop custom test equipment procedures and instructions
  • Manage upgrades to STE for obsolescence / enhancements
  • Maintain library of preferred test equipment / components and common architecture standards
  • Design Qualification program: plans, procedures, and test equipment
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)
  • DOORS, Jama, and Cameo experience
  • Software development for test applications (C/C++, Python, LabView, etc.)
  • System modeling using Matlab/Simulink
  • Video transport and encoding (H.264, MISB and SMPTE standards)
  • Understanding of defense products for the environments and platforms L3Harris supports
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize projects and manage priorities
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role New York state is $110,500 - $205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
