Description:

The Test Automation Engineer will design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions.

This position will build and maintain an effective test automation framework, integrating all test automation scripts and technologies.

They will execute test automation scripts, analyze results and update appropriate test documentation and test control systems.

Position Requirements:

Experience with browser UI and API test automation tools. (Jasmine, Karma, Selenuium, SOAPUI, Telerik Test Studio, Protractor).

Ability to troubleshoot and update automated scripts using data driven and keyword driven methodologies

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or MIS

3-5 years of experience in software design & development or testing

Proficient managing quality work in a fast-paced and Agile development environment

Ability to develop automated test cases from manual test scripts, requirements and other supplemental specifications

Knowledgeable of standard testing strategies, techniques and practices needed to successfully execute a test plan

Ability to communicate (verbally and written) the current project status, related testing metrics and other concerns as related to the project testing

Ability to understand and analyze business, functional, non-functional, technical and user interface (UI) requirements

Testing aptitude, include debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated experience testing Web and Mobile UIs and web services, including soak testing, stress testing

Passion for engineering excellence through automation and process improvements

Proficient with browser debug tools and API testing. (Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools)

Good understanding of CSS/HTML/JavaScript, familiar with Web UI frameworks, JQuery, Infragistics, KendoUI, etc.)

Job Duties/Tasks:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Create and maintain automation scripts for new and existing tests within the Operations Testing area of Securities America (may perform desktop, functional, software performance, load and mobile application testing)

Execute automated tests and validate the results, documenting problems and test results
