Job description

Ready to take your architectural experience in a different direction?

KaTom Restaurant Supply is looking for an experienced Architectural Designer/Project Architect to join our growing Design + Build Team.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, real-world foodservice environments while collaborating directly with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams. You'll have meaningful ownership of your projects and the opportunity to help shape how our Design + Build team continues to grow.

You don't necessarily need to be a licensed architect. We're equally interested in experienced architectural designers who are working toward licensure or who have developed strong technical expertise through hands-on experience. What matters most is your architectural experience, technical judgment, Revit capabilities, and ability to take ownership of complex projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and technical development of complex projects
  • Develop and review Revit models, construction drawings, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Identify and resolve code, accessibility, constructability, and coordination issues
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, RFIs, and field coordination
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Help strengthen team standards, workflows, and quality-control processes
  • Bring your experience and ideas to a growing Design + Build team

What We're Looking For

  • Professional experience in architecture, architectural design, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit
  • Solid understanding of construction documents and commercial construction
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and take ownership of your work

Even Better If You Have

  • Architectural licensure or are currently working toward licensure
  • Experience with hospitality, restaurants, higher education, healthcare, corporate dining, or institutional facilities
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring other designers
  • Previous foodservice design experience

Why KaTom?

This isn't a role where you'll simply produce drawings and hand them off.

You'll be part of a collaborative Design + Build team working on increasingly complex projects, with direct interaction with clients and design partners throughout the process. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, contribute your expertise, and help influence how the team operates as it continues to grow.

If you're an experienced architectural professional looking for a new challenge—and you're interested in applying your skills to a different kind of design environment—we'd like to talk.
