YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

As our Wastewater - Building Maintenance Technician, you're the behind-the-scenes hero, keeping our wastewater treatment systems in check and our building running smoothly. You monitor chemical levels, tweak automated systems, and jump in with manual controls when needed. One moment, you're adjusting a pressure valve; the next, you're coordinating snow removal or inspecting a fire suppression system. Whether you are replacing faulty piping or maintaining air handling systems, you keep our plant safe, compliant, and fully operational.


WHAT'S REQUIRED?

  • Related experience in general maintenance, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
  • Knowledge of OSHA and E.P.A. regulations and requirements
  • Experience in a USDA meat processing facility is preferred
  • Previous experience in the wastewater treatment process is preferred
  • Basic building maintenance skills, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.
  • Basic computer skills to utilize our computer system to retrieve work assignments and enter basic information into the system
  • Basic knowledge of operating a computer and computer software
  • Safety conscious and have good initiative
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk/hear, and taste/smell
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work around fumes or airborne particles and in outside weather conditions
  • Ability to work various shifts
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
