Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is Missouri's largest electric distribution cooperative, located in Troy, Missouri. Our team is driven by an outstanding culture, a strategic and engaged workforce, and a community minded cooperative that lives our values of safety, integrity, and accountability in everything we do.

We are now hiring a Staking Engineer. You would be joining a team whose purpose is to design, expand, and update CREC facilities under the direction of the System Engineer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plot and stake lines for electric service extensions and prepare required staking sheets.
  • Assist the Right of Way Specialist to procure easements necessary to cover CREC facilities.
  • Inspect existing facilities for maintenance needs. Prepare staking sheets as necessary for repair and replacement.
  • Meet and coordinate with Owners, Developers, Civil Engineers to coordinate needs and requirements of new overhead or underground extension of facilities for new commercial or residential developments.
  • Keep informed on Cooperative policies, procedures, codes, specifications, rates, and legal requirements pertaining to facility planning.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the Cooperative's discretion.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a working knowledge of construction plans and record plats.
  • Be familiar with easements and Right of Ways
  • A minimum of two years as an apprentice lineman or equivalent, relevant experience required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Subject to working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Sitting, standing, or walking for a prolonged period.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50lbs.
  • Subject to callout on emergency or outages
  • Overtime may be required.
