Description
Cranemasters is seeking hardworking, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Railroad Laborers. This role supports critical field operations including rerailing, track maintenance and repair, load adjustment/transfer, and railcar repair.
As part of a 24/7 emergency response team, you'll play a vital role in restoring and maintaining railroad operations safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow all safety policies, attend briefings, and wear required PPE
• Perform manual labor (lifting, digging, carrying materials, cutting vegetation)
• Load, move, and stage tools and materials for job sites
• Assist with rigging, winch lines, and equipment setup
• Operate hand, hydraulic, and (if qualified) cutting/welding tools
• Clean and organize worksites, vehicles, and equipment
• Restock supplies and support team operations as needed
Skills/Qualifications
• 1+ year of manual labor experience (construction, farming, utilities, or similar)
• Valid driver's license with good record
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Commitment to safety standards
• Ability to pass required training (including E-Rail Safe)
24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Work on uneven terrain in all weather conditions
• Stand, walk, bend, and work extended hours as needed
