Job description

Davis Conference Center is hiring full-time and part-time Event Setup Crew Members to help transform our event spaces for conferences, trade shows, corporate meetings, weddings, and special events.
If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in creating professional event spaces, and like staying active throughout your shift, this could be a great fit. This is a behind-the-scenes role responsible for setting the stage for successful events-not serving guests.
Pay & Benefits
Starting Pay: $11-$13 per hour

About Davis Conference Center
Located in Layton and connected to the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn, Davis Conference Center is one of Utah's premier event venues. We host everything from business conferences and trade shows to weddings and community events. Every event is different, and our setup team plays a critical role in making each one a success.
What You'll Do
As an Event Setup Crew Member, you'll work behind the scenes preparing event spaces according to detailed floor plans and event specifications. This is a physically active position where you'll help create everything from banquet rooms to large conference spaces.
Responsibilities include:
  • Set up and tear down tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, backdrops, risers, and other event equipment
  • Build and arrange event spaces according to setup diagrams
  • Move furniture and equipment safely throughout the facility
  • Prepare meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and banquet spaces for upcoming events
  • Reset rooms quickly between events while maintaining quality standards
  • Work closely with other setup team members to complete projects on schedule
  • Keep storage and event areas clean, organized, and safe

What We're Looking For
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and transport heavy equipment throughout the facility
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and being physically active for extended periods
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow setup diagrams and directions with attention to detail
  • Previous event setup, warehouse, moving, construction, facilities, or physical labor experience is helpful but not required

Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
