Job description

Description:

ABOUT TINSLEY PERFORMANCE

Tinsley Performance develops athletes from age seven through the professional level across 12 sports. While we specialize in rotational athletes, we work with youth, collegiate, MLB, NFL, and PGA competitors.

Our mission is to develop athletes physically, mentally, and spiritually. We are building a faith-forward culture centered on excellence, integrity, accountability, discipline, humility, and trust.

Our vision is to become the premier high-performance training center in the country-and we are looking for another Performance Coach who wants to help us build it.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Director of Performance, this coach will:

• Coach and manage a core group of assigned athletes
• Take ownership of each athlete's long-term development
• Develop and refine strength, speed, and injury-risk-reduction programming
• Lead training sessions with energy, clarity, and attention to detail
• Collaborate with pitching, hitting, rehabilitation, and performance specialists
• Use testing, technology, and coaching judgment to guide decisions
• Solve athlete-specific performance challenges
• Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, coaches, and staff
• Mentor coaches and interns as opportunities develop

This is not a "clock in, clock out" coaching position. We want someone who takes initiative, owns their craft, solves problems, and wants to grow into greater leadership and responsibility.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A self-starter who does not wait to be told every next step
• A high-energy leader who can command and connect with a training room
• An excellent communicator who genuinely enjoys working with people
• A coach who prepares, follows through, accepts feedback, and pursues measurable results
• Someone who leads with faith, discipline, integrity, and humility
• A competitive professional who wants to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Collegiate playing experience is expected
• Three to five or more years of strength and conditioning experience is preferred
• Experience coaching multi-sport athletes
• Proven success coaching high-level athletes; collegiate or professional experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of biomechanics, force production, speed development, and long-term athletic development
• Excellent communication, teaching, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• A genuine commitment to continued professional and personal growth

WHY COLLEGIATE PLAYING EXPERIENCE MATTERS

We want coaches who have walked the walk. Candidates should personally understand the preparation, discipline, pressure, accountability, adversity, and sacrifice they will ask of our athletes.

WHY TINSLEY PERFORMANCE?

• Coach high-level athletes across multiple sports
• Work with modern performance testing and training technology
• Grow into greater leadership opportunities as our programs and facilities expand
• Join a faith-driven, purpose-filled culture
• Work beside coaches and athletes pursuing greatness-not settling for good
• Make a lasting physical, mental, and spiritual impact

Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Qualified candidates can expect communication regarding next steps within 5-10 business days
