Job description

Learfield Amplify represents over 40 collegiate athletic departments, professional sports teams and related industry organizations nationwide, with more than 200 on-site sales personnel dedicated to serving these respective relationships. The company delivers a total revenue solution through staff development, high-value expertise, and engaged fan relationships. As the sports industry and fan behavior continues to evolve, Learfield Amplify also remains at the forefront of business intelligence through many of its national relationships as well as with Fanbase, powered by Learfield, leading to increased revenues for teams and organizations across the country.
Learfield Amplify is looking to add a high-impact team member who will lead and oversee all development efforts in support of USA Baseball, the official national governing body for baseball in the United States. In complete collaboration with USA Baseball, this position will be committed through first-class professionalism to growing a comprehensive fundraising program for USA Baseball and fully leveraging the opportunities around the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
In this role, you will work to achieve pre-defined KPIs centered around development activities and revenue for USA Baseball. This role will report to the Executive National Director of Development for Learfield Amplify and work in close collaboration with USA Baseball.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of the planned Capital Campaign

  • Strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors that lead to Major Gifts for USA Baseball

  • Develop and manage philanthropic and annual giving-based initiatives to generate revenue

  • Regularly conduct donor visits outside the office

  • Attend USA Baseball related events to engage with current and prospective donors

  • Cultivate, solicit and steward prospect bases for annual fundraising campaigns

  • Travel as needed to visit current and prospective donors

  • Network at various community and corporate events, including business after-hours, clinics, speaker series, etc.

  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue goals established by management

  • Achieve and exceed weekly activity and hustle metrics

  • Provide superior customer service to donors, prospects, and all fans of USA Baseball

  • Work closely with USA Baseball and Learfield Executive National Director of Development to develop new ideas and new strategies toward fundraising initiatives and campaigns

  • Provide weekly revenue and activity reporting to USA Baseball & Learfield Executive National Director of Development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 5+ years experience working in sales or development; University or sports-related development experience preferable but not required

  • Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics with strong customer service skills

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationships

  • Strong desire to learn about our business and grow your professional career

  • Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing

  • Independently take action beyond what is called for

  • Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities

  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc.
