Job description

Operating Room Clinical Coordinator supports the Director of Surgical Services in the planning, directing, and coordinating of the operations of the Operating room. The Operating Room Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing functional direction to members of the health care team while optimizing available resources to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for making clinical decisions based on individual patient needs, patient acuity, technological demands, staff member competency, skill mix, practice standards, scheduling policy, health care regulations and accreditation requirements

Education/Certification:                  

  • Nursing degree from a licensed and accredited school. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  
  • Current, unencumbered North Carolina RN
  • CNOR preferred
  • BLS and ACLS
  • NCI Certification within 90 Days of hire

Experience:

Required a minimum of 2 years of experience as a RN in the operating room with evidence of leadership skills.
