Pay Range: $16.90 - $18.30
Job Description:
  • The Records Degree Audit Assistant is a student worker position responsible for assisting the Degree Auditors with student evaluation tasks, diploma processing, document archival, graduation preparations, and record keeping.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the packaging, release and distribution of all diplomas/certificates to La Sierra University graduates
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of all diplomas processed and released
  • Manage diploma processing email and reply to all diploma-related inquires in a timely manner
    • Address phone inquiries regarding diploma processing from students and staff
    • Assist in the execution of graduation-related functions and event
    • Organize and maintain confidentiality of student evaluation records
    • Scan and archive evaluation documents electronically into Etrieve
    • Other duties as assigned by the Records Office

Required Skills:
• Must be able to show accuracy and detail-oriented nature when conducting tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently, with limited supervision in some cases.
  • Responsibility and reliability are of the utmost importance in this role.
  • Professionalism is mandatory, as this is a student service office that provides assistance to many different individuals.
  • Computer proficiency is important, specifically familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word).
  • Banner and Degree Works experience is a plus but is not required.
  • Must adhere to FERPA regulations, and maintain confidentiality of student records at all times. (FERPA training will be required)
  • Take direction well from multiple sources at once, as this position answers to multiple supervisors.
  • Must interact effectively and respectfully with department staff, students, and faculty (etc.), as well as outside community members.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are important in this position.
  • Previous office experience preferred.

Position Requirements:
• Current La Sierra University student at Junior class standing or above; Graduate student preferred.
Individuals who are not registered will not be considered for this position.
  • Ability to work during breaks, summer, and graduation weekend is required.
  • Minimum dedication of 10 hours per week; 25 hours per pay period preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year commitment preferred.
