Shift Hours: 1st Shift M-TH 5 AM to 3:30 PM or 2nd shift M-TH 3:30 PM - 2 AM or 4th shift. 5 AM - 5 PM F-SA-Su
General Description / Summary -
The Working Machining Set up Technician -A is responsible for - To have the scheduled machines they are running meet or exceed the set goals for Machine Utilization and First Pass yield. Perform thorough, detail-oriented setups that meet or exceed the set goals.
Reports to - Lead Person
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position.   1. Demonstrate positive Company Core Values.
  2. Maintains the productivity and efficiency of the scheduled machine or machines being ran by priority.
  3. Monitors their hourly productivity and if set standards are not being met make needed adjustments to get back on track.
  4. Complete all of the scheduled 6s activities and sign off on each task completed along with inputting hourly productivity on the day by hour board.
  5. Input the required data into the Amper Utilization tracking system to show accurate real time information.
  6. Maintain good housekeeping and Safety standards and adhere to all Company policies.
  7. Be a positive contributor to the Team to help reach the scheduled goals.

Production Responsibilities-
  1. Perform all quality checks and complete all needed documentation for parts assigned.
  2. Provide accurate hourly data on the DBHB and communicate all obstacles to provide real-time visual performance.
  3. Input the required data into Amper utilization tracking system for real-time data.
  4. Completes setups for scheduled machines based on the production schedule.
  5. Can complete setups on 4 & above Axis machines.

Quality Responsibilities-
  1. Perform all scheduled quality checks and complete needed documentation for parts assigned.
  2. Maintain proper data entry on conformant and non-conformant parts.
  3. Performs capability studies after completed setup to ensure process is stable.
  4. Assist in resolving quality issues within a setup.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities-
  1. Participate in looking for ways to make improvements that will help the Team reach the set goals.
  2. Cross train in new areas you are interested in that will challenge you and improve your skillset and enable you to be a more versatile employee.
  3. Recommends process improvement measures for cost reductions along with ways to improve production.
  4. Participate in setup reduction activities.
Qualifications-
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.
Educational Level-
High School Diploma / or Equivalent required. Having a technical diploma in Machining would be a plus.
Previous Experience-
  • 3+ years' experience in Machining.
  • Having a good work history.
  • Quality assurance is a plus.

Physical Demands- Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
