(NOTE: This position requires onsite availability in St. Louis, MO!)

Working closely with BHN and STL County Health Department, community partners, healthcare systems, first responders, local public health agencies, and recovery organizations, the Project Coordinator will oversee daily operations of the OD2A program while ensuring compliance with grant requirements and contractual obligations.

This position is funded through the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) grant. The contract will be issued on an annual basis, contingent upon continued grant funding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Grassroots agencies; build relationships with individuals, families, community organizations, and service providers
  • Data and performance monitoring (ensure data quality across all outreach activities)
  • Provide coordinated outreach, engagement, and linkage to care; help to reduce stigma and increase awareness of recovery resources
  • Participate in community events, presentations, and outreach activities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day program operations
  • Provide direct supervision and operational oversight for Community Health Outreach Workers by assigning daily work activities, monitoring outreach productivity, monitoring compliance with grant expectations and agency policies, and conducting weekly supervision meetings
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, EMS agencies, law enforcement, fire departments, public health agencies, behavioral health providers, recovery organizations, and housing service providers
  • Expand equitable access to prevention, treatment, recovery support, and harm reduction services
  • Participate in community coalitions and overdose prevention initiatives
  • Establish and expand referral networks throughout St. Louis County
  • Review outreach data for accuracy and completeness; analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare reports for BHN leadership and funding agencies; maintain required program documentation
  • Work alongside a team to improve access to behavioral health and recovery services

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of communities served
  • Experience in the recovery field, including resource management and navigation (with preference given to applicants who are experienced in the local/STL recovery field)
  • Comfort supervising teams and monitoring outcomes
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to quality data and best practices
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community members

This position is being recruited for/hired by BHN (Behavioral Health Network), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to developing an accessible and cohesive system of care that represents the communities we serve. BHN is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
