Respiratory Therapist
Full Time | Night Shift
Pay between $36-$50/hour
(based on experience & shift differential)

St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus.
Our team delivers advanced 24-hour medical care in a nurturing, home-like environment where residents can experience a full childhood - including school, activities, family time, and friendships.
Requirements for a Respiratory Therapist -
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required
  • Must have a broad knowledge of respiratory care standards, with experience working with tracheostomies (trachs) and individuals with MR/DD (intellectual and developmental disabilities)
What you'll do as a Respiratory Therapist -
  • Provide cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with physician orders, departmental policies, and established clinical standards
  • Assess, treat, and monitor pediatric and adolescent residents with cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including tracheostomy care and airway management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient responses
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
