Job description

Qualifications:  

Sixty (36) hours of college credit required. Upon hire, ability to apply for Substitute Certification (unless you have valid teacher certification or a current Substitute Certificate) as well as completing an FBI criminal history background check with fingerprints and registering with Missouri Family Care and Safety Registry.  You can also receive a Substitute Certificate through 20 hours of online instruction through Frontline Education if you do not have 36 hours of college credit.  

Reimbursement: 

The district would reimburse your fee for the training (currently $180) upon completing 25 days of substitute teaching. Reimbursement is paid once you have acquired your substitute certificate via this alternate route and provided proof of payment of online instruction with Frontline.

Terms of employment: 

Temporary Position - No benefits. This is an on call as needed

Start Date:  This is an on call as needed position.        

Salary:    

  • $106.00 a day with substitute certificate
  • $121.00 a day with active teacher certification
  • $185.00 a day if you are a retired St. Charles School District teacher.

    Upon completing 30 days of substituting, there is a one-time additional $10 a day increase to your daily rate with completion of a required google form.
