Job description

St. Charles Health System is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join a well-established team in beautiful Central Oregon.

With a supportive environment, strong APP coverage, and abundant earning potential, this is a chance to practice high-quality GI care while enjoying work-life balance in one of the most desirable regions in the Pacific Northwest.

Position Details:

  • Full-time role with a 4/10 schedule
  • 1 clinic day with 3 procedure days
  • Opportunity for EUS and ERCP
  • Shared call at 1:7
  • Based out of St. Charles Medical Center in Bend but will occasionally provide support for other nearby regions including Madras and Prineville
  • Excellent support team including multiple APPs
  • Strong community-oriented group with highly experienced GI physicians

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is $700,000, guaranteed base salary for 2 years
  • Productivity incentive is available (wRVU)
  • Travel reimbursement when required
  • Full benefits including health, vision, dental, retirement
  • Sign-on bonus up to $75,000
  • Relocation assistance
  • 6 weeks paid time off
  • St. Charles Health System is a non-profit that qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Board-certified/board-eligible MD/DO
  • 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship training

St. Charles Bend is the largest hospital in central Oregon, offering a Level II trauma center and comprehensive medical services to patients across a 32,000-square-mile area. With 292 beds, it provides emergency care, Primary Care and specialty services, including radiation and medical Oncology, an on-site pharmacy, surgical services, imaging and radiology, laboratory services, a family birthing center and Behavioral Health. Founded in 1922, the hospital remains a cornerstone of healthcare in Bend and the region.
