POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for highly motivated, self-managed individuals to join our growing team. Our Technicians must possess knowledge based in the following facets: controls, electrical systems, basic IO devices, voltage measurement devices and knowledge/experience with general hand tools. Individuals should be familiar with preventative maintenance processes and on the fly repairs. The role encompasses an equal portion of mechanical to electrical work, meaning the Technician must be as proficient with identifying components from electrical schematics as they are with basic mechanical repairs. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent time management skills as our repairs are critical to time sensitive operations. Additionally, a professional working demeanor and good attitude are a must due to the necessary day to day interactions with our highly valued customers. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issue with smart security lanes conveyor systems:
    • Photo eye and RFID readers.
    • Conveyor motor maintenance/replacement.
    • I/O and PLC modules.
    • Intermediate communication modules.
    • Jam conditions.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks:
    • Clean, lubricate and test equipment.
    • Perform systems checks.
    • Verify all functionality from an operational standpoint.
  • Respond to downtime incidents and provided essential repairs in a timely manner.
  • Use schematics in conjunction with physical equipment for diagnostics.
  • Schedule equipment downtime with third parties for planned maintenance.
  • Assist and coordinate with Technical Operations Team as well as the equipment manufacturers to resolve elevated issues.
  • Proper documentation and use of reporting based software to open, close and manage work orders.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all departments across the organization.
  • Ability to provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.
  • Perform all work is a safe manor, adhering to all OSHA, State and local regulations.
  • Completes all safety training as assigned by the Company.
  • Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience with BHS, heavy equipment or industrial machines maintenance and repair.
  • 1+ years of schematic/diagram reading and equipment diagnostics.
  • 1+ years of preventative/predictive maintenance procedures.
  • Flexibility with work hours and days (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation including holidays.)
  • Position may be required to be on-call, including holidays and weekends.
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician License (or relevant license in equivalent discipline.)
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different workloads.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with peers, management, vendors and customers.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
