The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and unloading incoming goods, verifying goods with documentation, and process the documentation in accordance with local policies.
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
  • Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against the DD Form 1348 documents.
  • Ensure that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
  • Prepare and keep records of goods shipped, e.g., DD Form 1348, bill of lading. CMOS tracking information.
  • Completed the web-based training for the Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-ARMY).
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with various climates.
  • Warehouse environment with limited heat or cooling abilities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
  • Activities will revolve around extended periods of sitting and communicating via email and telephone.
  • Visual acuity necessary for computer work and data manipulation.
  • Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
  • Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Storage and warehouse functions and associated experience in computer support systems applicable to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and associated warehousing functions.
  • Experience with the GCSS-Army system.
  • Experience with CMOS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access preferred.

SKILLS:
  • Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
