ProSidian Seeks a Senior Field Procurement Engineer - Administrative/ Business headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte. 

This *** | Exempt position currently best aligns with the Senior Field Procurement Engineer (FPE) SC 102 Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808.  Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).

Senior Field Procurement Engineer - Administrative/ Business Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and The Senior Field Procurement Engineer (FPE) SC 102 is a Professional Grade position.

Procurement of goods and services for the SRS Operating, Project and Support Divisions to support Site missions. Serve as the primary interface with SRS Divisions for all acquisition and procurement needs. Assist in the development of technical and quality requirements necessary for installation of parts and materials into safety and safety-related systems, structures and components. Interpretation of a multitude of requirements ranging from federal regulations to site wide procedures and policies to provide effective guidance and service in the procurement process.

Field Procurement services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Qualifications

The Senior Field Procurement Engineer - Administrative/ Business shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Senior Field Procurement Engineers working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) Bachelor's degree in management, business, or economics and at least five to seven years related experience in the areas of procurement, materials management, maintenance, or operations. Substantial greater numbers of years (10-12) of practical background or related experience may substitute for the higher degree requirement. Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years procurement or related experience in a SRS comparable industry. Candidate must complete the training curriculum as part of the SRS Field Procurement Engineering qualification process. Candidate must have strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills as well as good oral and written communication skills.

Candidate must have the ability to perform walkdowns and interface with personnel and systems in the field. A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position

TRAVEL:  Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.  Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
