Job description

Wilson & Company is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to help lead and grow our municipal engineering practice inWichita, KS. The position will be primarily focused on municipal roadways, highways, parks, and neighborhood drainage projects. You will work closely with clients, other project managers, and support staff to ensure the successful completion of projects. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow as a professional working in a dynamic team environment. Essential job functions include:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from pursuit through delivery
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, building and maintaining long-term relationships
  • Play an active role in business development, including proposals, interviews, and identifying new opportunities
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate internal teams and resources to deliver high-quality, timely project outcomes
  • Mentor and develop staff to meet the needs in supporting projects

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians.
  • Self-driven with the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Kansas or the ability to obtain within 4 months.
  • 8+ years' experience in the design of municipal infrastructure.
  • Knowledgeable of and experienced with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to the design of street and/or highway projects.
  • Specific experience with winning and executing projects for municipalities related to streets, sidewalks/trails, and/or utility improvements is preferred.

Annual Salary range: $145,600 -$208,000
