What We're Looking For
HNTB is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, include successful delivery of complex aviation, transit, government facilities, and other transportation and infrastructure projects through all phases of project delivery, from pursuit and planning through design and project closeout. This role is responsible for achieving successful project outcomes by proactively managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, contractual requirements, and project financial performance. The Senior Project Manager leads project teams in delivering HNTB's 4 for 4 performance goals-quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction. In addition, this position supports business development efforts, contributes to pursuits and proposals, and mentors project staff to foster professional growth and project delivery excellence.

What You'll Do:
  • Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of work to less experienced project managers. Coordinates work efforts and review work performed. Schedules and manages for integration of quality management during all phases of a project.
  • Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant degree
  • 16 years relevant experience
  • In lieu of education, 20 years relevant experience

What We Prefer:
  • Licensed Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and infrastructure projects through all phases of project delivery.
  • Proven success developing project workplans and managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and project financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, utilization management, earned revenue, and project profitability.
  • Ability to proactively identify project risks and implement corrective actions to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, client management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience delivering aviation facilities and airport infrastructure projects preferred, with transit, government facilities, transportation, and other infrastructure experience considered beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop project managers and technical professionals within a multidisciplinary environment.
