Sr. Program Manager - Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)

Job Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of customer programs within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment. This role serves as the primary interface between the customer and internal teams, ensuring that expectations are met across cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness. The Program Manager leads cross-functional efforts to manage product builds, resolve issues, and support ongoing customer relationships while driving operational efficiency, profitability, and account growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a leadership role by having the Program Managers report directly into the Sr. Program Manager lead role.
  • In this site PM leadership role, work with the sales team to improve and grow new customer development and onboarding strategies including manufacturing transitional handoffs and sales development.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned EMS customer accounts, maintaining a strong, responsive relationship throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the full program lifecycle including New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp, and sustaining activities.
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and test teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage build plans, material readiness, and internal priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Conduct regular Customer Focus Team (CFT) meetings to align internal resources and proactively address program needs.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as on-time delivery (OTD), cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory, support customer forecasts, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Drive change management processes, including ECN implementation and deviations, and communication across functions.
  • Assist with P&L and revenue forecasting, and backlog management. To include monitoring AR and tariff requirements.
  • Lead and organize Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with customers to review performance and identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by recognizing customer needs and aligning them with the company's capabilities.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop and present proposals, quotes, and program expansions.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies to enhance customer value and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, preferred.
  • 4-7 years of experience in program management.EMS or electronics manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PCBA, box build, and electronic product lifecycles, preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systemsand advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of sales processes, value propositions, and account development strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-610, or AS9100, ITAR, ROHS, preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor
  • Occasional travel to customer sites or global EMS facilities.
  • Flexibility required for meetings across multiple time zones.
  • 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off
