Impact Summary:   

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager with 15-20 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry to oversee and manage key programs for our company. The Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, maintaining client satisfaction, and driving the growth and profitability of our aerospace engineering services.


This position will be responsible for managing the technical requirements of multiple contracts and will also oversee and report on team activities, deliverables, funds expenditure reports, travel budget, overall funding and tasking. The Senior Program Manager will interface and routinely communicate with the customer to ensure appropriate performance and oversight for the contract, ensuring cost, schedule and reporting are completed as required. Position requires management and leadership, effectively collaborating with assigned assets, subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Project Managers. Provides technical input to documents, briefs, point papers and work statements.


Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex aerospace engineering programs from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to technical, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on program status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations effectively.

Develop and execute program plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication strategies.

Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and procurement to achieve program goals and deliverables.

Monitor and report on program performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the program lifecycle.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the program team, promoting best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements


Qualifications: 

BS/BA degree required in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or other relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred in related fields. 

Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on program management of complex aerospace projects.

At least 5 years must include management or supervisory experience. 

Demonstrated success managing and delivering large, high-value aerospace initiatives for commercial and/or U.S. Department of Defense customers, with full lifecycle development (proposal through delivery).

Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale aerospace programs for commercial and/or Department of Defense customers.

Experience developing or refining internal processes and procedures that may include items such as travel, resource management, or project management.

Demonstrated ability to supervise program management personnel, providing strategic direction, performance oversight, mentoring, and professional development guidance.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and subject matter experts to achieve program objectives.

Proven ability to develop and execute integrated program plans, including resource allocation, budget forecasting, travel and funding management, and performance reporting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive briefs, technical documentation, and customer presentations.

Strategic mindset with the ability to align program execution with broader organizational growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.

Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.

Must be proficient with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project and the standard Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

U.S. Citizenship required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in support of Department of Defense contracts.


Travel: 

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Salary Information: 

The estimated salary rage for this position will be $150,000 - $200,000 annually based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, skill set, work location, and market conditions. Pay and Benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
