Job description

Title: Senior Producer

Reports to: Director of Production

Department: Production

Classification: Exempt


OVERVIEW

The Senior Producer will lead projects across multiple media and discipline types including campaign, brand, websites, and content. This individual will provide leadership and strategy to drive projects from scope creation to project completion using established and successful production expertise. In this role, the Senior Producer will act as the central hub of each project, providing communications across clients, creatives, account leads, subcontractors, and vendors, while pushing teams toward the best possible creative outcomes.


The Senior Producer will have the ability to jump in and lead a variety of project types including branded content operations, digital website builds, brand identity and campaigns, content creation and beyond. Working closely with the Director of Production, account lead, and discipline leads, the Senior Producer will develop project schedules, approval processes, and think deeply about skill sets across teams, advocating for the right people. They will keep teams organized and working toward deadlines while managing scope and budget.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for driving projects forward and delivering on time, within budget, and within scope.

  • Strong communication skills as you work through client and internal team project management deliverables.

  • Comfortable with making progress through periods of ambiguity, and confidence to work closely with clients to manage frequently changing priorities and needs.

  • Build strong client relationships, manage project prioritization, understand client business and needs, provide mentorship and guidance to other account producers, and own monthly budget reporting.

  • Utilize deep knowledge of project scope, goals, deliverables and scheduling to drive process, manage and lead all project work within the defined project scope.

  • Own internal and external meetings. This includes managing setup, meeting agendas, and notes. Youโ€™ll ensure the team is prepared for the meeting and has an action plan afterward.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer on key decisions across projects and maintain a line of communication for thought partners while flagging any project issues.

  • Maintain a creative bench of production subcontractor and vendor relationships.

  • Support project account leads, ensuring all projects stay within scope and budget.

  • Manage deliverables and assets from the client and own internal systems, process, project organization, and documentation.

  • Look for new business opportunities with current clients and flag those to the account lead.

  • Create the project schedule and deliverable deadlines, and ensure these are followed internally and externally.

  • Own internal and external meetings. This includes managing setup, meeting agendas, and notes. Youโ€™ll ensure the team is prepared for the meeting and has an action plan afterward.

  • Deep knowledge of project scope, goals, deliverables, schedule, and process. Manage and guide all project work within the defined project scope and SOW.

  • Manage project administration tasks, like tracking hours, expenses, schedule creation, and project tool setup (Slack, Airtable, Team Drive folders, etc).

  • Track team hours against the budget, as needed.

  • Ensure contractor invoices, project expenses, and all other costs related to the job or client are tracked appropriately.

  • Review deliverables (in support of the Creative Director or other team leads) and act as the day-to-day eyes of the client to ensure the team is on track.

  • Manage deliverables and assets from the client and own internal systems, process, project organization, and documentation.

  • Own the project process from start to finish. Every step should be known and guided towards completion by the producer.

  • Learn and work towards reflecting Owen Values in all of your work.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Proficiency in tools like Figma, Airtable, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud for doing all your work

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working within a creative team or the commercial industry, having both internal team and external client facing communication responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • At least 4 + years working as a project manager/producer on digital, brand, campaign, and creative projects.

  • Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting, subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.

  • Owen operates using a hybrid model, with work occurring in office Tuesday-Thursday and remotely on Monday & Friday.
