Job Description

As a Senior Civil Engineer at Coffman Engineers, you will be part of a collaborative, creative, and high-performing team that believes in making a difference for our clients and our communities. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with broad expertise in water resources and wastewater or process engineering. Key skills include project and client management, multidisciplinary coordination, and teamwork. Experience with municipal, public utility, or industrial projects is highly valued. Experience navigating local, state, and/or federal environmental compliance landscapes is also highly valued. This person will have a strong technical background with the ability to grow a team of water and wastewater engineers.

In this role, you will support junior engineers focusing on water/wastewater engineering and a larger team of site design civil engineers and surveyors. This position includes business development in preparing proposals and actively cross-selling our multidiscipline services to a diverse client base. You will help grow and mentor a collaborative team, market our capabilities, and deliver high-quality engineering and consulting solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • American Academy of Environmental Engineers Diplomate desirable as alternative to master’s degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required with ability to be licensed in Washington State
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience collaborating with local and State agency/engineering community is a plus.
  • Experience designing public water and wastewater treatment facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management, mentoring, and business development skills.
  • Client management skills experience.
  • Salary range: $115,000-$170,000
