Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Payments Operations is responsible for owning, scaling, and optimizing our global payments processing ecosystem. This leader will drive operational excellence across all payment processors, acquirers, and local payment methods globally to maximize transaction success and minimize cost-of-acceptance.
As a highly collaborative partner to Marketing, Revenue, Product, and Finance, you will operationalize payment capabilities that directly support business growth, improve checkout conversion, and ensure seamless daily transaction flows. This role is focused on the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our payments infrastructure to ensure high availability, industry-leading authorization rates, and efficient reconciliation.
Job Expectations:
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary operational partner to the Marketing and Revenue teams, aligning payments capabilities with commercial strategies, promotional events, and geographic expansions to maximize checkout conversion and customer retention. Operations & Performance Management: Own and optimize end-to-end payment operations, defining and monitoring key operational KPIs Manage current relationships with all payment processors; facilitate quarterly business reviews.
  • Multi-Payment Method Execution: Manage and scale a complex, global portfolio of payment methods, including credit/debit networks, digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal), Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), local alternative payment methods (APMs), and bank transfers A
  • Financial Auditing & Cost Control: Lead monthly operational audits of payment processing fees, interchange, and scheme fees to ensure billing accuracy, resolve processor discrepancies, and actively drive down unit costs.
  • Risk, Compliance, & Regulatory Alignment: Partner closely with Fraud/Risk and Accounts Receivable to balance checkout conversion with fraud mitigation (such as optimizing 3DS and chargeback operations), while ensuring global compliance with PCI-DSS, local scheme rules, and payment regulations.
  • Stay informed of payment industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in any other treasury or ad hoc finance projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payments processing, including payment methods - card and wallet based payments, card networks and rules, acquiring and processing, and the regulatory environment
  • Strong financial modeling experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet deadlines in fast paced environment

Equipment Knowledge:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a minimum of (10 ) ten years in international ecommerce payment processing

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this role is $160,000 - $170,000 USD. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, education, geographic location, and internal equity.
