About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Experience Designer to join our Digital Team on a 6-month contract, helping shape and improve the end-to-end experience for customers purchasing and using energy services. You'll play a key role in designing seamless digital experiences that drive customer satisfaction and retention. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics and Technology teams, you'll identify customer pain points, uncover opportunities, and create intuitive experiences that make life easier for our customers.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and deliver exceptional customer experiences across digital channels, communications and assisted service journeys.
  • Translate customer research into actionable insights and experience improvements.
  • Develop and test multiple solution concepts, balancing customer needs, business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate on product roadmaps and iterative delivery approaches.
  • Create and champion scalable design patterns, templates and best practices.
  • Craft polished, engaging and accessible user interfaces that bring customer experiences to life, balancing visual excellence with usability, consistency and business objectives.
  • Provide experience design direction to cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, UI Designers, Content Specialists and Engineers.
  • Advocate for customer needs and drive customer-centred decision-making across the business.


About You

  • Proven experience in UX Design, Service Design, Experience Design or a related Human-Centred Design discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of design thinking methodologies and user research practices.
  • Experience conducting and synthesising moderated and unmoderated customer research.
  • Expertise in tools such as Figma, Miro, Asana and Confluence.
  • A proven ability to simplify complex problems into clear, customer-friendly solutions.
  • Strong UI and interaction design capability, with a portfolio demonstrating polished, customer-centric digital experiences and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
