Job description

About the role

Samsara is looking for a Senior Director, Enablement - Shared Services to lead the business operations backbone of our Field Enablement organization. Reporting to the VP, Field Enablement, you'll lead the teams responsible for Learning Experience Design (LXD), governance, reporting, program management, and logistics - making sure enablement runs with operational rigor and process discipline behind every program we ship.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the Enablement Business Operations function, including teams focused on Learning Experience Design (LXD), governance, reporting, program management, and logistics.
  • Ensure enablement runs like a business: clear intake processes, prioritization frameworks, reporting cadences, and operational rigor across every program.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the managers and teams within Shared Services, building organizational depth and bench strength.
  • Partner with enablement leaders across Sales Skills, Field Activation & Execution, and Leadership Development to ensure shared services meet their operational needs.
  • Own reporting and governance frameworks that give leadership visibility into program adoption and business impact.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's operating principles as we scale our enablement programs globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
  • 10+ years of experience in similar enablement, business operations, or program management roles.
  • Proven experience building or scaling operational functions (governance, reporting, program management, or logistics) within an enablement or GTM organization.
  • Experience leading and developing managers, not just individual contributors.
  • Strong data and reporting orientation, with the ability to translate operational data into decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
An ideal candidate also has:
  • Experience standing up governance or program management functions from scratch.
  • Familiarity with learning technology and content development operations (LXD, LMS, CMS).
  • A background in business operations, strategy, or program management within a Sales or Customer Success organization.
