Company Description

Robert Bosch LLC seeks Development Engineer - Sr (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 1010 Scotts Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Act as a key owner for the product and as task force manager for crisis or critical issues on product/process and quality related topics on Automotive infotainment products. Serve as interface between Plant and Development department during issues related to product Hardware/Software. Act as Lead Product Owner for automotive infotainment products for testing and software download process. Operate as an interface between plant and development for issues related to development Software, Hardware topics. Acquire new product know-how from development center during development phase and transfer to plant during industrialization phase. Involve in early stages of new product development in design location to share plant experiences as lessons learned to prevent repeated issues in various project milestone, which would impact Start of Production (SOP). Perform as a task force leader to solve, acquire new product related issues. Lead and conduct technical training to production line, debug technicians /engineers. Serve as a product owner for First Pass Yield (FPY) performance and drive activities to fulfill the yield target set. Support, analyze, and investigate fall out rate (FOR) from value stream, identify root-cause or issue owner to eliminate line FOR issues. Provide technical support to Quality in Failure Analysis (FA) including Okm and field return analysis. Work with development team to define diagnostic tools suitable for failure analysis in production, as well as customer return units. Provide technical risk assessment at the plant level. Lead cost reduction projects and work with cost reduction team from various locations to achieve corporate yearly target cost reduction savings. Lead the IDC (scrap) reduction activities and drive to achieve IDC target. Automate the engineering solutions to reduce the potential IDC scrap. Provide technical assessment during line station buy-off and line release to ensure readiness for manufacturer. Support in the preparation of technical presentation material to management and customers. Cooperate with other relevant departments in the plant, development and XC division to meet section goals and objectives. Work closely with plant in-house sample build group in fabrication and testing of samples, as well as performing sample evaluation. Support plant wide SQL query on any urgent quality complaint, product issue and I4 projects. Emphasize on the FPY of each individual projects. Lead the Quality Assurance methodology (QAM) to incorporate the concept of continuous improvement activity, continuous to recognize the failure trends and track the effectiveness of corrective actions defined, support to reduce 0 km and field failure and develop ways to implement Strategic inspection system in production. Focus on leading Task Force for production/technical issues by defining the method and solution, transferring product know how knowledge to production associates like debug technician, review part specification. Find and introduce new technology for debugging and rework activities for final assembly. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer, Product Engineer or in an occupation involving Development and Analysis of Automotive Electronics. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Hardware (Circuit board, PCBA and Device) failure troubleshooting or debugging; (2) Electronic circuit design or analyzing; (3) Using Software diagnostic tools for product troubleshooting; (4) Electrical/electronic components function, and ability to translate schematics; and (5) Electronic products, and the complex software environment for Automotive products. Travel Requirements: 10% or less of travel required. The travel would be to Bosch plants in Braga, Portugal and Penang, Malaysia for the purpose of benchmarking products and processes pertaining to products that are produced in the
