Job description

Client Service Representative

Muddy Creek Animal Hospital โ€” West River, MD
Pay: $17-18/hr

If youโ€™re the kind of person who can answer the phone, help a nervous pet parent, keep an appointment schedule from going completely sideways, and somehow still remember which patient is waiting for a nail trim, we should probably talk.

Muddy Creek Animal Hospital has been part of the West River community since 1988. We care for pets throughout West River, Shady Side, Deale, Churchton, and the surrounding area, and weโ€™ve built a reputation for both excellent medicine and genuinely caring service.

Weโ€™re one of the few AAHA-accredited full-service hospitals in the area, offering everything from preventive care and dentistry to surgery, diagnostics, ultrasound, pain management, laser therapy, acupuncture, and boarding. Itโ€™s a busy practice, but we believe high-quality medicine and a great client experience should go hand in hand.

The Role

As a Client Service Representative, youโ€™re often the first person a client meets and the person they remember when they leave. That matters.

Youโ€™ll spend your days welcoming pets and their people, answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and helping keep the front desk running smoothly. Some days will be wonderfully predictable. Others will involve a little more juggling. Either way, youโ€™ll have a team around you and plenty of opportunities to make someoneโ€™s day a little easier.

Weโ€™re looking for someone who enjoys people, genuinely likes animals, and understands that veterinary medicine can be emotional for clients. Being organized helps. Being able to multitask definitely helps. Knowing how to stay calm when three phones ring at once is practically a superpower.

Previous veterinary or human medical front-desk experience is preferred, but itโ€™s not the only thing weโ€™re looking at. If youโ€™re personable, dependable, comfortable learning new things, and bring a positive attitude to your work, weโ€™d love to hear from you.

Why Muddy Creek?

Thereโ€™s a reason Muddy Creek has been serving this community for decades. We care about doing good medicine, but we also care about how people experience that medicine.

Our team works together, our clients appreciate the environment weโ€™ve created, and our hospital offers the opportunity to be around a wide range of interesting cases and services. If you like being busy, enjoy working with a close-knit team, and want your work to have a real impact on someoneโ€™s day, this could be a great fit.

And yes, our clients have noticed. Weโ€™re currently sitting at a 4.9-star rating, with reviews that regularly mention our friendly team, clean facility, and welcoming experience.
