Job description

The Senior Benefits Analyst supports the administration of key Total Rewards programs including health and welfare benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, retirement, and wellness initiatives. This employee-facing role ensures effective day-to-day benefits operations, accurate data management, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer all health, welfare, ancillary, and retirement benefits across multiple platforms and acquired entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across HRIS, benefits systems, and payroll.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, parental, personal, state programs, etc.), including employee and manager communication and educating employees/managers on timecards for correct LOA coding and pay accuracy.

  • Support benefits integration activities for newly acquired companies, including data mapping, system transitions, plan alignment, and scalable process development.

  • Support 401(k) plan administration including eligibility, enrollments, contribution audits, file feeds, and assisting with NDT testing, audits, and Form 5500 data.

  • Serve as a key liaison to Benefits Specialist LOC team by coordinating updates and resolving escalations.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, developing scalable workflows, and creating/maintaining SOPs for all benefits, WC and LOA processes.

  • Prepare benefits reporting and audits, ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and support projects such as system upgrades, process redesigns, and vendor transitions.

  • Oversee workers’ compensation claim reporting, maintain annual OSHA logs, and ensure all state WC platforms reflect the correct company profiles, FEINs, class codes, and work locations for compliance and reporting accuracy.

  • Administer the Management Incentive Program, including eligibility oversight, 83(b) tax filings, legal documentation tracking and timeliness, maintenance of allocation tables, and ensuring accurate data submission in ADP.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 6-8+ years of benefits administration experience, including LOA management & WC claims filing.

  • Experience working across multiple HRIS or benefits platforms in a multi-entity environment.

  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and 401(k) regulations.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements that are essential to the job.

  • Lifting: Occasional lifting of materials up to 15 lbs (e.g., files, office supplies).

  • Mobility: Primarily a sedentary role with occasional walking within the office environment.

  • Working Conditions: This position is primarily hybrid (onsite and remote), performed in a standard office setting. No exposure to extreme temperatures or loud environments.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Not required for this role.

  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Must be able to sit for extended periods during meetings or while working at a computer.

  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and mobile devices; must have strong proficiency in Excel and HR systems.

  • Driving: Occasional local travel may be required. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be required at the time of hire and reviewed periodically.
