Schedule: Please include your availability when applying.
  • Primary Shifts: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-7:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Additional Coverage Opportunities: Monday-Friday, 6:00-7:00 AM (Club Opening) and 7:00-8:00 PM (Club Closing)
Reports To: Squash Club Manager
Your Mission:
Your mission as a Front Desk Associate, is to serve as the face of the Summer Street Squash Club, creating a welcoming and seamless experience for every member and guest who walks through the door. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality, supporting day-to-day club operations, and providing on-call event support to help ensure programs, round robins, tournaments, and special events run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Exceptional Member Service: Greet members, guests, and prospective members in a friendly, professional manner. Create a welcoming environment and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Manage Front Desk Operations: Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with general inquiries. Check members and guests in and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Support Club Scheduling: Book and modify court reservations, lessons, clinics, and programs. Assist members with registrations and scheduling questions.
  • Process Payments and Transactions: Handle membership payments, retail purchases, guest fees, and other transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Reception Area: Keep the front desk, lobby, and common areas neat, organized, and presentable. Ensure informational materials are stocked and up to date.
  • Communicate with Members and Staff: Relay important information to coaches, management, and members. Assist with member communications regarding programs, events, and club updates.
  • Support Club Events and Daily Operations: Assist with tournaments, special events, and administrative tasks. Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations by collaborating with the club team.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, front desk, or another client-facing role required.
  • Experience in a fitness club, sports facility, recreation center, private club, or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with membership management systems and/or scheduling software strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve member concerns professionally and independently.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and other scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform the physical demands of the role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
