Position Overview
The Senior SQL Engineer will lead the design, optimization, support, and continuous improvement of mission-critical SQL Server environments supporting healthcare operations. This role is responsible for database architecture, performance tuning, ETL development, production support, CI/CD integration, and data governance. The ideal candidate combines deep SQL Server expertise with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Database Architecture & Development
  • Design, architect, and optimize SQL Server databases supporting high-volume healthcare systems.
  • Develop advanced T-SQL solutions including stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, and indexing strategies.
  • Design scalable database structures supporting operational and analytical workloads.
  • Drive database architecture decisions including normalization, partitioning, and schema evolution.
Performance Tuning & Optimization
  • Lead SQL Server performance tuning initiatives.
  • Analyze execution plans, query performance, and database workloads.
  • Optimize database structures, indexing strategies, and SQL code.
