Job description

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are seeking for an experienced Database Administrator with a strong skillset in SQL server administration and database maintenance to join our team as a SQL Server Administrator II to support the USAF on an IT Support Services contract. A SQL Server Administrator II will perform day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases.This is a salaried position, full-time, onsite at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex.


Job Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active US DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Active IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours
  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance by managing backups, applying updates, and performing regular health checks
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for MS SQL server issues
  • Provide technical support for end-users and resolve issues related to MS SQL Server operations
  • Develop and enforce best practices for MS SQL usage
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot database problems, and optimize query performance to maintain efficient and reliable database environments.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize system performance and reliability


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience in systems administration
  • 5+ years of experience in MS SQL administration
  • At minimum one Active MS Certification (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Server Admin) required
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification required
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP desired
  • High attention to detail
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
  • DoD experience preferred
