Job description

TITLE - SSIS Developer
ROLE LOCATION(S) - Purchase, NY; Florham Park, NJ; NYC; Charlotte, NC
ROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ETL Developer will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting ETL code in SSIS for an enterprise data warehouse.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Develop queries and stored procedures using T-SQL
โ€ข Understand and analyze requirements to develop, test, configure and deploy SSIS packages. Use of SQL Server 2014, 2016 or 2017 experience to implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet requirements
โ€ข Evaluate large and complex data sets
โ€ข Troubleshoot SSIS packages to address critical production issues
โ€ข Create tables, assign permissions, import data, perform app configurations, etc.
โ€ข Write and maintain technical documentation
โ€ข Manage source code versioning and deployment
REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (in order of level of need)
โ€ข 5+ years development experience with Microsoft SQL Server including recent experience with 2014, 2016 and or 2017
โ€ข 5+ Years' experience coding T-SQL including the use of dynamic SQL
โ€ข 3-7 Years of SSIS development experience in developing ETL applications
โ€ข Data warehouse development experience using SSIS/SQL best practices including the development of reconciliation and validation frameworks
โ€ข Working knowledge of best practices for loading a data into normalized and/or Star schemas
โ€ข Experience with best practice SSIS design patterns
โ€ข Demonstrated skill and ability in interfacing programmatically with a variety of enterprise systems
โ€ข Familiarity with source code management systems (TFS)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience
