Job description

We are seeking an Junior SQL Developer to join our team. This role will be onsite at our client 5 days per week and be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and querying data using SQL, Excel, and Google Sheets, while also leveraging Generative AI and prompt engineering to optimize workflows and automate data processes.
Responsibilities
  • Build, Maintain, and optimize complex spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets using advanced formulas and pivot tables.
  • Write, modify, and execute SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY, etc.) to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
  • Design, test, and refine prompts for AI tools to automate text generations, summarize data, and enhance data cleansing workflows.
  • Use AI tools and spreadsheet scripts, like App Script or VBA, to streamline repetitive data entry and reporting tasks.
  • Assist in auditing, cleansing, and verifying data quality across spreadsheets and database systems.
  • Transform raw data into clear, actionable reports and dashboards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets using functions like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience crafting, evaluation, and editing prompts for AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
