Job description

Position: Jr. SQL Developer

Location: O'Fallon, MO (On-Site)

Reports to: Implementation Manager

Position Status: Exempt

About Us:

Automotive Product Consultants (APC) provides an array of services in the automotive industry and other industries. Our core service, the APC Follow-Up Program, is a proven system that provides dealerships with a second opportunity to sell sales and service customers F&I products after they have left the dealership.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Database Development: Minor ability to Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases to meet project requirements and business needs with direction from a Senior.

2. Query Optimization: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to ensure efficient performance and data retrieval.

3. Data Integration: Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.

4. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, analysts, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.

5. Reporting: Develop and maintain PowerBI or equivalent reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to database structures, processes, and configurations.

7. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support to users.

8. Maintain Regular Data Builds: Executing and organizing daily data builds based on tickets from end users.

9. Training: Stay updated with the latest developments in SQL Server and participate in continuous learning and development activities.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR 1-2 years industry experience.

2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.

3. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

4. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
