Job description

Requirement:
  • 5+ years of experience MicroStrategy development experience.
  • Must have expertise in building new dashboards and reports and then maintaining them (understand what is being built, why it's being built, and what the components are from an end user standpoint.
  • Redshift data platforms expertise
  • SQL Expertise:
  • Unit testing and test case writing/documenting skills
  • Relational database funneling experience
  • working w/ fact and dimension database approach - Star Schema (StarSQL) experience

Soft Skills:
  • Must have exceptional communication skills!
  • Analytical and Critical thinker, well organized, and a team player.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Charter Experience is a HUGE plus or telecom/cable experience.
  • Power BI experience.

Day to day responsibilities:
  • Developing and fine tuning IT solutions. This can include anything from coding, testing, debugging, designing or implementing newly developed tools.
  • Researching and planning solutions for existing problems within the company.
  • Responsible for building online analytical processing (OLAP). They also work with databases, both relational and multidimensional.
  • Responsible for managing others in the IT department or in the company.
  • The primary focus of this position is to solve problems, MicroStrategy Developer is expected to always be mining data and presenting it in an understandable way. They should be capable of creating tables, writing reports on their findings, and simplify highly technical language for others in the company.
