JOB SUMMARY:

The Information Services Program is seeking a qualified technology leader to serve as a Systems Project Administrator supervising the Database Administration team. This position leads database and enterprise data services that support the performance, security, availability, recovery, reporting, analytics, and operational reliability of mission-critical systems used by Department employees, citizens, and business partners.

The selected candidate will lead DBA team activities, establish priorities, coordinate workload, mentor staff, and ensure database and data-platform work is completed through controlled, repeatable, well-documented, and audit-able practices. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, operational discipline, and people leadership to support on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms; strengthen backup, recovery, performance, reliability, security, compliance, data governance, reporting, automation, and sustainable data management processes; and partner with application teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, production control, analysts, data owners, business areas, and management to resolve issues, align services with business needs, and advance modernization initiatives across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have a strong database or enterprise data platform background, experience leading technical teams, and a commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and practical innovation. The candidate should be able to translate business and technical needs into clear direction, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document decisions and processes, and lead staff through complex support, project, audit, data quality, reporting, and modernization activities in a secure production environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Work experience that demonstrates at least one year of preparation to lead database, enterprise data platform, or related operational technology services.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is located in Tallahassee, FL.

SALARY: The tentative salary for this position is $70,000.08 annually.
