Job Summary

We, at NetApp IT are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional with over 8 years of expertise in database and Oracle cloud administration. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, security, compliance and cloud administration, configuration and infrastructure.

Job Requirements

The Database/Cloud Admin Engineering team is part of NetApp's IT function and is responsible for a wide range of Relational & NOSQL databases and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure comprising of Databases and Cloud ERP Fusion systems. As a key member of the team, you will help to ensure that team objectives and operational goals are met.   


Relational & NOSQL Databases Administration:
   Install, manage and maintain relational databases viz. Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgresql, MySQL, etc and NOSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis,etc
   Ensure high availability, performance, scalability and security.
   Perform regular database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
   Conduct periodic performance assessments for finetuning and optimization of SQL queries and database instances.
   Implement and manage backup, recovery and resiliency strategies.
   Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
   Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards.

    OCI administration:
   Manage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including Autonomous Databases, VM Database systems and Golden Gate.
   Perform provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
   Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

     Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion Administration:
   Administer and manage Oracle Cloud ERP  Fusion applications ensuring high performance, availability and stability.
   Configure and maintain ESS jobs and BIP reports.
   Configure and maintain role-based access control and data security policies.
   Provision, modify and deprovision user accounts with strict adherence to SOX and other industry-standard compliance requirements besides performing periodic access reviews.
   Coordinate quarterly and one-off updates, patches, and maintenance activities including impact analysis, validations and production readiness.
   Participate in ERP Roadmap planning, upgrades and enhancement discussions.

Education & Key Skillsets:
   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    8+ years of experience in database administration and cloud management.
   High proficiency in Relational databases and NoSQL databases.
   Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion Administration and OCI databases.
   Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
   Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:
   Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible).
   OCI Data Integration administration skillsets shall be an added advantage.
   Basic understanding of OIC, REST/SOAP APIs and file-based integrations.
   Familiarity with dashboard implementation and self-service enablement.

Responsibility and Interaction:

   Working on multiple projects at scale gathering the requirements, recommending solutions, creating the implementation plan and delivering.
   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
   Handling critical escalated incidents and driving them to closure.
   This individual interacts primarily with Staff to Director-level employees within the function and with multiple cross-functional teams for driving projects and architectural decisions.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 129,200 - 192,500 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
