Job description

Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is seeking a PL/SQL and Python developer for a contract role based in San Leandro, CA. The primary responsibilities include designing and optimizing PL/SQL procedures, writing Python scripts for data tasks, and collaborating with teams to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support business requirements.
• Write efficient and maintainable Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of PL/SQL code.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data migration and transformation.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Work with large datasets and ensure data integrity and security.
• Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for future reference.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in Python programming, including experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and experience with Oracle or similar databases.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and debugging PL/SQL code.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
