SQA Analyst (Senior) โ€“ Contract Opportunity

Locations: Kansas City, MO | Denver, CO | Oklahoma City, OK | Omaha, NE | Dallas, TX

  • Candidates must be located within commutable distance of one of the above locations.

Work Model: Primarily On-site (5 days/month remote flexibility)

Contract Duration: 12 months(Possible Extension and Conversion to FTE)

Interview Process: 1 round (1-hour, on-site)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior SQA Analyst to support a critical system used in regulatory and banking examination functions. This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable applications that support financial system oversight. You will work in a highly collaborative, Agile environment alongside product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to drive quality across the software development lifecycle.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies for enterprise applications
    • Translate business requirements into test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and test cases
    • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and datasets for functional and non-functional testing
    • Perform manual and automated testing across UI, API, and backend systems
    • Identify, document, and resolve defects and issues in collaboration with development teams
    • Ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC via peer reviews and QA best practices
    • Define and report on quality metrics (performance, reliability, security, accessibility)
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align QA efforts with Agile delivery timelines
    • Continuously improve test automation frameworks and QA processes
    Required Qualifications
    • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing frameworks
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
    • Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing
    • Experience with .NET, Java, and JavaScript technologies
    • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
    • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
    • Background in financial services or regulatory systems
    • Strong experience with test automation design and scripting
    • Exposure to cloud-based application environments
    • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (Appian) โ€“ plus
    • Experience with test automation tools like AccelQ โ€“ plus
