Underground Construction Estimator

Dynamic Concepts, Inc., a growing underground, utility infrastructure company is seeking a Construction Estimator. This position will provide estimating for all aspects of construction. Estimator will understand the terms and scope of the construction contract, correspond and negotiate on behalf of the company and subcontract negotiations and purchasing.


The ideal candidate has Estimating experience (5+ years) in underground utilities construction and/or a B.S in Construction Management. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess strong attention to detail, possess the ability to successfully negotiate terms and conditions, manage tight deadlines and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of management. Computer software proficient specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software is preferred.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.

  • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.

  • Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.

  • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.

  • Develops bids for construction projects

  • Understand contractual terms and conditions.


Construction Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to navigate specifications and plans
  • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once

  • Previous experience estimating projects into the $ 5 million range.

  • Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
