Position
Swenson Spreader, LLC is seeking a skilled Laser Operator who will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting a Mazak laser to produce quality parts in a lean manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous flow production and works closely with supervisors and engineering to maximize efficiency and uphold quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Train and learn to operate Mazak laser, resulting in being able to operate, trouble shoot, and make adjustments to produce quality parts.
  • Work with supervisor/lead in producing complete products in a continuous one piece flow operation.
  • Embrace all lean initiatives.
  • Work with programming and industrial engineering to maximize work center efficiency and material utilization.
  • Maintain the ability and attitude to perform duties consistent with the operating expectations of Swenson.
  • Operates within quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to use PC’s and Outlook
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to learn and understand laser cutting processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible time availability, including overtime
  • Accurately report labor and production
  • Dexterity and agility to maintain pace
  • Strong focus on safety and housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
