Job Description

Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities Available! 

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Vegetation Management Spray Technician (IVM Technician) to join our team. 

Technicians work locally within their assigned region and are home daily. While overnight travel is not typical, there may be occasional opportunities to assist in other in-state areas for those willing to travel and pick up additional hours. 

The anticipated start date for the 2026 seasonal operations is April 1st. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Apply herbicides to control weeds, grasses, and brush along county and state roadside rights-of-way, as well as commercial and industrial properties. (Example: oil refineries, solar fields, substations, and gas lines.) 
  • Perform daily tank mixing and properly calibrate spray equipment. 
  • Inspect and maintain trucks and spray systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. 
  • Follow all company and DOT safety regulations and protocols. 
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with DCS standards. 
Qualifications
  •  Must be 21 years of age or older. 
  • Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history required. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check (federal compliance). 
  • Local travel required; home daily. 
  • Travel available for those willing to assist in other areas. 
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred (Company will provide certification if not already obtained). 
  • Ability to lift 50–60 lbs. 
  • Comfortable using mobile iOS technology. 
  •  Availability to work weekends and overtime during peak season as needed. 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Knowledge of weed, grass, and brush species identification. 
  • Understanding of herbicides, safety procedures, and proper application techniques. 
  • Experience calibrating spray equipment and understanding spray patterns.

Additional compensation offered for candidates holding a valid Pesticide Applicator’s License. 

Pay rate: $20-22/ hour depending on experience.
